Manager – Communications 

Job Description 
To document various aspects of Keystone’s work and produce outputs in the form of books, brochures, reports, posters, slideshows etc.
To produce the Annual Report of the organisation
To produce and disseminate widely the monthly e-newsletter of the organisation.
To keep the websites of Keystone updated
To document meetings, workshops and other events organised by Keystone
To produce press releases for important events and circulate them to the media
To constantly update the social media streams on Facebook, YouTube etc.

Requirements 
Excellent command of English language
Working knowledge of Tamil would be desirable
Prior experience of at least one year working in a role requiring documentation work, E.g. journalism, blogging etc.

Programme Coordinator – Community Wellbeing & Empowerment

Position Description

At least 5 years’ experience of Livelihoods work at the grassroots level with local communities, preferably with tribal communities. Knowledge of Tamil essential and working knowledge of Malayalam & Kannada will be an advantage. Women candidates preferred. Ability to be a good team builder, worker, writing reports, proposals, conceptually clear and yet flexible with changing times, situations, contexts and developments.

The Programme Coordinator will be working in the Keystone framework – where Conservation, Livelihoods and Enterprise go hand in hand. Community Wellbeing & Empowerment consists of Livelihoods, Environmental Governance and Health & Nutrition of / with Indigenous People. Urge to thinking out of the box beyond Agriculture, beyond Rights Based Work connecting to Climate Change Adaptation, new and innovative financial instruments and start-ups in rural areas.  You should be inclined and have flair to network with organizations in India and abroad. Those who have independent thinking and ability to raise funds will be preferred.

Person Specification

A Masters’ in any of the subjects: Development, Social Work, Social Studies, Geography, Ecology, Commerce, MBA or equivalent Masters’ degree will be required. We are looking for a multi-disciplinary potential leader, who would like to be in the field and do some cutting-edge implementation work be it with Forest Rights Act, Creating and setting up Village Savings Groups and Village Institutions. Travel in the Nilgiris Biosphere Reserve is a must – Nilambur, Coonoor, Hasanur, Ooty, Pillur, Coimbatore, and Chamrajnagar with base in Kotagiri.

Structure and Reporting

The Programme Coordinator will report to the Director at Keystone Foundation.

Review and Assessment

The role and performance of the incumbent shall be subject to normal review and assessment systems.
