Radio Kotagiri is proud to announce that it won Second Prize at the WAVES Sammelan, organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The award recognized our program covering the local Irula community’s Thodu Aata Festival, under the theme of Local Cultural Preservation.
Dr. L. Murugan, Honourable Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, and Information and Broadcasting, presented the award. He previously served as the State President of Tamil Nadu before his appointment as Union Minister of State.
The national event took place at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai, where Mr. Manickam A., In-charge of Radio Kotagiri, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the entire team.
