I am going to tell about my first interview experience – Livelihoods.
One week we went to Bangalapadigai for field work. We interviewed the women who were working at Aadhimalai center about their livelihoods. Then we asked many questions to the women, they were answering for all that we asked. Then, we asked, ‘you work at your home daily, and then come work here too, are you not feeling tired?’ they said, ‘our kids and our husbands will finish all the household chores at home, so we won’t be tired, only because of that we are able to come for work.’ That was very surprising for us.
Why because, we thought, ‘will men do all the household chores?’ but here all the men do the household chores. Then, we asked a lot of questions for the interview, they answered as far as they knew for the questions asked. And then we ate, after eating we came back to Keystone. After coming, we took a look at what they had said; the answers were to an extent to what we had expected. The interview went well, we were happy about it.
