As a part of our project through the Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action (GAGGA), we, along with the Kerala Mahila Samakhya, organized a one-day seminar on the topic of ‘Encroachment of Motor Vehicles and Air Pollution. The seminar was held at Krishi Bhavan Hall, Agli Panchayat, Attappadi Block, Palakkad District on October 21st. About 50 young women and men from Agali, Sholayur and Puthur Panchayats participated in the program.
Mr. Ganesh and Mr. Mansoor, who are civil police officers from Sholayur police station, conducted a class on the rules to be followed while driving. Mr. Naveen, Program Coordinator of Aadi, Attappady, also took a class on air pollution and waste management. Program Aspiration Block Research Officer Mr. Arjun inaugurated the event. Mrs. Rajeena. M, District Program Coordinator of Mahila Samakhya Society, and Keystone Foundation’s Additional Program Coordinator Faseela participated and spoke.
