I am going to talk about the FIRST WEEK OF THE RESEARCH PHASE.
In this first week, we worked in both Bikkapathymund and Ebanadu village. Our topic is wild edible plants. We will be doing a research on that, were researching on that as well. In this whole week, for the first day alone we went to Bikkapathymund. But due to the forest restrictions we could not go, and so we conducted interviews at Ebanadu. We interviewed 10 people and then we conducted a focus group. mapping and so on were conducted.
Since the being of first week of the research phase, it was very interesting and we got a lot of information. We worked in a Baduga village and a Toda village. At the Baduga village we expected that they will not know much about this, but they were able to give us answers to an extent. When we went to the village, they all welcomed us happily, served us plenty of tea and coffee, and took good care of us.
