In February, the Malappuram District Medical Department and Karulai FHC, in collaboration with Keystone Foundation and Kerala Mahila Samakhya Society, conducted a leprosy screening camp in Kerala’s Manchiri, Mundakkadav, Pulimunda and villages. Through this camp, leprosy patients were diagnosed and treated. Keystone and Mahila Samakhya’s main role in this camp was to bring people to the camp. Around 200 people participated in these three camps.
Samunnayam Camp
Under the leadership of Nilambur Employment Exchange, Keystone Foundation, Grama Panchayats and Mahila Samakhya organized an employment registration camp called Samunnayam for tribal women and youth. 130 young women and youths were registered through this camp, which was conducted in 38 villages within the Chaliyar and Pothkal panchayaths.
Mental Health Camp
A Mental Health Camp was organized under the leadership of Chugathara Block Health Team and District Mental Health Department in collaboration with Keystone. About 30 people from tribal villages under Chunkathara panchayat participated.
