The IUCN Species Survival commission (SSC) is a science-based network of expert groups from all over the world addressing conservation issues of several species of plants and animals, mainly the ones that are majorly declining due to loss of habitat, climate change etc.; The group consists of Researchers, Government Officials, Wildlife Managers, and many other experts in the field of Biology & Zoology.

Keystone Foundation was represented by Anita Varghese. (Deputy Director) at the 4th leaders meeting of the Species Survival Commission of the IUCN. This was the first time that we were part of this forum. It was indeed an inspiring 4 days as guests of the Environment Agency Dubai – listening to the voice of 161 species conservation specialist groups-speaking for fireflies to whales to seeds to conifers.
