A one-day Wildlife & Nature Awareness Workshop Integrating Zentangle Art was conducted on 02-09-2026 at GHS School, Kaircombai. The workshop was organized by Keystone Foundation Kotagiri, and attended by 40 students, with Dr. S. Sahithya, Assistant Professor (Research), serving as the Resource Person. The primary objective of the workshop was to create awareness about wildlife, biodiversity, and nature conservation through the creative medium of Zentangle art.
Connecting Creativity with Nature Awareness
During the interactive session, students explored the concept of Zentangle drawing and its application in interpreting wildlife and natural themes. They explored a variety of patterns, textures, and artistic designs inspired by animals, birds, plants, forests, and other elements of nature. Through guided activities, students learned to observe wildlife more closely and translate their observations into unique artistic expressions.
The workshop provided an engaging platform for students to connect art with environmental awareness. By incorporating wildlife-inspired motifs into their drawings, participants developed a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting natural habitats and conserving biodiversity. The activity encouraged creativity, imagination, concentration, mindfulness, and observation skills while fostering a sense of appreciation and respect for nature.
