Over the past few months, we decided to do a small study in our working areas to understand the condition of MHM in these places. Simultaneously, we started working on a design which is – a 100% environment-friendly disposable sanitary napkins. This is currently in it’s testing phase. We are tentatively planning to launch it on 6th November 2020, if it meets all quality parameters.
One important element of (Menstrual Hygiene Management) MHM is availability and access to safe sanitary products. While urban women have access to various sanitary products, most of the rural and indigenous women have to do with whatever is available for them. This could be anything ranging from old cloth to disposable sanitary napkin (non-biodegradable).
