The 2019 Water and Health Conference: Where Science Meets Policy, organized by the Water Institute at UNC explores drinking water supply, sanitation, hygiene and water resources in both the developing and developed worlds with a strong public health emphasis.

Rajesh Ramamoorthy, Santhosh Ragavan from IIHS and Vinitha Murukesan from Keystone Foundation participated in the conference from 7 October 2019 to 10 October 2019.

Three posters and a verbal presentation based on TNUSSP work were presented at the conference. Our poster on “Assessing the role of community toilets in reducing open defecation using simple diagnostic tools” was presented at the conference. It was a great platform for networking, learnings and implementation from around the globe in WASH sector.
